This is to certify , That it appears from the Records of this office, 
that on this day, to wit the Twenty-fifth of February., in the year 
of our Lord, one thousand, eight hundred and Seventy-one, and the 
ninety-fifth of the Independence of the United States of America, 
(Febry. 25, 1871), was registered a marriage, celebrated in the 
city of New Orleans, by Rev. E. Durier on the 18 day of Febry 

between 

John R. Legier aged 23 years a native of New Orleans 
son of Jean F. Legier and Octavie Newmann 

and 

Marie O. Masson aged 21 years, a native of New Orleans, 
daughter of Edmond Masson and Pauline Renaud. 

The celebration of the marriage was performed in presence of 
the witnesses.Rene Legier, E. Masson .
The license was issued on the 2 day of Febry, 1871 by Hon. J. G. Baum
4th Justice of the Peace, in the presence of the witnesses.
