This is to certify, That it appears from the Records of this office, 
that on this day, to wit the twentieth of Mar., in the year of our 
Lord, one thousand, eight hundred and seventy-five, and the ninety-
ninth of the Independence of the United States of America, (May 20th, 
1875), was registered a marriage, celebrated in the city of New Orleans, 
by Rev. [?] on the 15th day of March, 1875 

between 

Rene Legier aged [blank] years a native of Louisiana, 
son of Francois Legier and Barbe O. Newman 

and 

Miss Josephine Ant. Pardo aged [blank] years, a native of Louisiana, 
daughter of Hampton Pardo and Odelia [?]. 

The celebration of the marriage was performed in presence of the witnesses.[?] .
The license was issued on the 13th day of March 1875 by Hon. John Corin[?]
4th t Justice of the Peace, in the presence of the witnesses
