All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http:/www.usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ************************************************ THE STATE OF LOUISIANA PARISH OF ORLEANS CITY OF NEW ORLEANS BE IT REMEMBERED, That Joseph Bernius as principal, and Michael Fisher, as security, acknowledge themselves indebted unto the State of Louisiana in the sum of one thousand dollars. WHEREAS, the above bounden Joseph Bernius, has applied to THOMAS S. COLLINS, Sixth Justice of the Peace for the Parish of Orleans, and has obtained from him a license to marry Christine Fisher. Now the condition of the above obligation is such that in case, within two years from this date, it should not appear that there existed at the time of granting such License, any legal impediment to said Marriage then and in such case, the above obligation shall be null and void, or else it shall remain in full force and virtue.
