CIVIL CERTIFICATE
This is to certify, that it appears from the Records of this office, that on this day, to-wit:
the Eighth of May in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and eighty and the one
hundredth and fourth of the Independence of the United States of America (May 8, 1880) was
registered a marriage, celebrated in the city of New Orleans, La. By Rev. P. Johannes on the 

4th day of May 1880 

between 

ROBERT SIMPSON, a native of Louisiana 
son of Robert Simpson and Emma Simpson 

and 

MISS WINNIE CAMPBELL, a native of Louisiana 

daughter of Hugh Campbell and W. Roper.


The celebration of the marriage was performed in presence of the witnesses Hugh Campbell and
Daniel E. Haughery.  

The license was issued on the 4th day of May 1880 by Hon. Wynne Rogers, Second Justice of the
Peace, in the presence of the witnesses.

were lawfully married
