Lea Judge I, Michael Fitzpatrick, son of John and Mary Fitzpatrick of Cronagort in the County of Clare, Ireland do make this my last Will and testament and write it with my own hand thereby revoking all former wills and testaments, - I leave and bequeath to my father and mother John and Mary Fitzpatrick, the one third part of all I die possessed of according to laws of this State, such being their share. I leave and bequeath to my partner S.V. Sickles my property in Tchoupitoulas St. being the property bought by Sickles & Co. from Benj. Florance. I leave and bequeath to Charles S. Lee and his Sister Harriette Lee of Carrollton in equal Shares my property on the Pascagula (West) Which I bought of the foresaid Charles S. Lee. I leave & bequeath to my Cousin Margarette A. Fitzpatrick (daughter of my deceased uncle Peter Fitzpatrick) residing in the City of Dublin, Ireland, Two thousand five hundred ($2,500) dollars. I leave and bequeath to my Black Servant Andrew his freedom according to the laws of the State and five hundred ($500) dollars - To my friend Robert Peiner? (page dark) of the Parish of Jefferson, I leave and bequeath fifteen hundred ? dollars. To my friend David R. Crear? I leave and bequeath one thousand (1000) dollars To my washwoman Margarette Power Stack residing in the 2d Municipality, I leave and bequeath five hundred dollars. To my friend Madame Park formerly Miss Halphen I leave and bequeath One thousand (1000) dollars. To my friends Mrs. Doctor Farrell, Robert Mc Dowell Jr. & Chas. H. Langdon Clevyn, I leave and bequeath five hundred ($500) each to purchase wring or some such trinket. I appoint Simon V. Sickles and Doctor John Farrell, my Executors to carry this my last Will into effect and it is my wish that all the money I have bequeathed should be paid over in equal instalment at one two and three years years from my death in a Shorter period if it suit the convenience of my partner and further that the partnership between myself and Sickles should cease according to our articles of Copartnership or be extended to one two or three according to the will and pleasure of S.V. Sickles Written signed and sealed with my own hand this twenty sixth day of April in the year of our Lord One thousand Eight hundred and forty four (1844) at 42 Canal St. in the City of New Orleans, State of Louisiana.
