Before me, Felix J. Dreyfous a notary public for the Parish of Orleans and City of New Orleans, therein residing. And in the presence of Miss Johanna Pixburg and of Messrs Joseph L. Weiss and George Abel Dreyfous, all three residents of this City, witnesses possessing all the legal requirements for competency. Personally came and appeared Mr. Henry Joseph Rooney of this city. Who, being of sound mind and of understanding did dictate to me, notary, in the presence and hearing of said three witnesses, his last will and testament in manner following, to-wit: “My name is Henry Joseph Rooney. I am the widower of Bertha Dedon Rooney. “I give and bequeath to my daughter Bertha M. Rooney my property Nos. 1016 and 1018 Fourth Street in this City as a remuneration and recompense for the services she has rendered to me since the death of her above-named mother – January 17, 1919, in ministering to my wants, caring for my health and providing for my comfort and wellbeing. “I also appoint my said daughter my testamentary executrix and _de_________________ of my property. “I have not heretofore made any will or testament.” Thus, this last will and testament was dictated to me, notary, by the testator and I have written the same with my own hand as dictated to me and then I read it to the testator who declared that he perfectly understands the same and persisted therein. The whole in the constant presence and having of said testator and of said three witnesses. Done and passed in my office on this day, month, and year first above written, at one time, without interruption, or turning aside to other And after the reading of the whole by me, notary, to the testator in the presence and hearing of said three witnesses, the testator has signed with witnesses and me, the notary.
