Parker near this city, on the night of Dec. 11, was taken from the parish jail last night by a party numbering 100 and was hung near the scene of the tragedy. Robinson killed Parker in defense of his house and his person. A party of six or eight men went to his cabin to whip him or do worse, on account of difficulty he had with two young white men. Being refused admittance they threatened to break the door down. Robinson attempted to escape by the back entrance. Here Parker had been stationed to prevent the negro's flight. Robinson fired on him shooting him through the breast and escaped to Bolivar County Miss., where he was captured a few days ago. # # #
