Puckett, a prominent planter of Ouachita Parish La. was found dead in the lonely part of the city at an early hour this morning. An investigation by the coroner proved that a stab wound in the neck caused death. A Relative of Puckett's could throw no light upon the tragedy, but it is believed here to have resulted from some family trouble and that Puckett either committed suicide or was killed for revenge by some one he had injured. The affair caused great excitement here. The police say they have no clew, but are satisfied that they have discovered traces of a deadly struggle near the fatal spot. # # #
