Young Boy Discovers Partly Burned Body of Man. A ghastly discovery was made this morning by a little white boy when he discovered the partly burned body of a man in the ashes of the hay house destroyed several nights ago on the Cotton Mill place, below the city. Dr. G. Surghnor, parish coroner was notified and went to the scene immediately. He found that the man's head was almost burned off as were his arms and legs. Just the trunk remained. There was nothing whatever left by which an identification could be made. The hay barn caught fire from burning grass after a big force of men had made every effort to stop the progress of the flames. At the time of the destruction of the barn it was not known that any one had been caught in the fire. Dr. Surghnor was unable to tell definitely whether the man was white or black, but is inclined to think that he was white. # # #
