SHEA MEETS WITH A FATAL ACCIDENT. Had Been Drinking For Three Weeks-Was Employed by the Grayling Lumber Company. After a fervid prayer followed by a request for the priest, D.J. Shea ran from his room over Odie Seabaugh's saloon early yesterday evening and jumped through a front window to the ground below, receiving injuries from which he died half an hour later. Shea was employed by the Grayling Lumber Company as foreman of the steel gang. He had worked in that capacity for two years and his employers say he was a fine workman. He had been drinking heavily for three weeks and friends had secured a room for him in an effort to get him sober. He was placed in the care of one of his friends and while he was temporarily absent from the room Shea ran out through a front room and jumped on the awning. Some say he attempted to climb down a telephone post at the edge of the awning and it was from here he got the fatal fall. The unfortunate man fell squarely on his side on the pavement below. Scarcely a bruise was found on his body. Shea lived about half an hour after being picked up. His body was taken to Peters' undertaking establishment where it was embalmed. A brother who is a conductor on the Kansas City Southern road, was notified. The body is being held to await instructions from him. # # #
