Morehouse Clarion August 13, 1880 -- Page 2, Column 5 The Monroe Bulletin publishes this week a sweet and touching obituary of Miss Octavia Conner, the interesting daughter of T. N. Conner, of that city. Morehouse Clarion August 20, 1880 -- Page 2, Column 4 A man fell off his wagon on the 10th in Monroe, and sustained injuries which proved fatal. His name is Michael Carroll. Morehouse Clarion September 25, 1880 -- Page 2, Column 4 Green Redding, who was sentenced to be hung in Monroe next Friday for wife murder died in jail last Sunday night. Morehouse Clarion October 9, 1880 -- Page 2, Column 1 An emigrant from the Far West passed through Monroe this week riding an ox. He had the animal bridled and saddled and appeared to be perfectly confident of reaching his destination. Morehouse Clarion 1/23, 1881 -- Page 2, Column 4 Fred Muer, of Ouachita parish, was fatally shot my a man named Barrfield near the parish line dividing Ouachita and Morehouse. Kidd died in Trenton recently, aged 74 years.
