Westbrook, who lived in the Colony, came into town last Saturday, and obtaining a load of supplies, went out late in the afternoon riding in his wagon. When near home, the team moving in a trot and going down hill, the wheel struck a stump and Mr. Westbrook was thrown from his seat, falling between the fore and hind wheels of the wagon. The hind wheel passed diagonally across his breast. Mr. W. was carried home and a physician summoned. But the injury proved fatal, and he expired in about three hours. His remains were interred on Monday with Masonic honors. Deceased formerly kept the Red River Wharfboat. # # #
