Bradly, to pay the last tribute of respect to the memory of the late Mr. R.K. Chandler, who was killed by the police, on the night of the 5th, at the recapture of the Seventh Precinct Police Station. Taking into consideration the sad circumstances attendant upon his death, the ruthless manner in which he was cut off in the very bloom of life, it is not to be wondered at that many of those who followed his remains to their last resting place, did so sorrowing, with pale cheeks and tearful eyes, mourning for the martyr to the cause of liberty, the sacrifice offered up on the altar of tyranny. The funeral ceremonies, which were simple and affecting, formed the last chapter in the short life of this ill-fated young man, who may, we trust, be the last victim of this cruel st(y)le of factions, which has entailed so much misery, so much grief upon us. — Picayune, 8th . # # #
