On Wednesday, the 3d, a little son of Judge Ray’s, aged 13 years, started out hunting. In stepping off of one of the street bridges the hammer of the gun he carried struck the bridge and the gun was discharged. The contents entered the little fellow’s side, and death ensued almost instantly. He was a bright little boy, and his sad death has been generally lamented. On Saturday of last week a number of young men of Trenton went up in skiffs to the D’Arbonne hunting ducks. Upon their return, young Mr. Stamper, an excellent and promising youth, was killed instantly by the accidental discharge of his gun. He was standing in the stern of the boat and had just shot at some ducks. His two companions, Messrs. Rabun and Parker, had shot about the same instant, and had their backs turned toward him. A second shot by young Stamper caused one of the young men to turn, when he saw Mr. Stamper falling into the river. The load had entered just above his left eye, and had torn off nearly that entire side o his head. The remains were conveyed home and interred next day with solemnity and great regret. # # #
