Mr. Timothy Hayes died at his residence in this city Saturday morning, leaving a wife and four children to mourn his death, with whom we deeply sympathize. Mr. Hayes’ death was caused, as Dr. Calderwood thinks, by a fall from his horse. He was found insensible and helpless on Hall street, Friday night, and taken home by Policemen Fullam and Mitchell. He had been thrown, or had fallen from the horse, three or four times during the afternoon, and when found was insensible and paralyzed, and died without returning to consciousness early Saturday morning. Deceased was an excellent mechanic, who had lived in Monroe about eight years, whence he came from New Orleans, his native city. He had a nice little home in Monroe which he was industriously improving at the time of his death. # # #
