Two negro roustabouts belonging to the steamboat Willie, named Robt. Johnson and Walter Scott became involved in a difficulty last Friday morning in a bar room in that portion of the city known as “Five Points,” over a game of cards, which resulted in Scott being fatally stabbed by Johnson and Johnson being slightly cut by Scott. Scott was stabbed in the right side just above the false ribs, and expired in about an hour; Johnson’s wound is in he left side below the nipple, but as above stated he is only slightly injured and is safely lodged in McGuire’s “hash house” on St. John street, where it is likely he’ll remain for a while yet. # # #
