 The colored cook of the Ollie B., Jean Broadnax, was the only person
fatally injured during the burning of that craft in Bayou Bartholemew.  His
death seems to have been from the severe chilling he received while making
his escape from the boat; although a fire was made to thaw him by, he never
re-acted and died from the effects of intense cold.
