H. Hanna, Gov. Allen, John Wilson and continuously on the Fred A. Blanks, since she made her first start, met with a fatal accident on the latter a few days ago. The boat was bound down from Arkansas City, when it was noticed that one of the steam leading pipes was leaking badly. He procured a ladder 12 feet long and while attempting to wrap the affected part the ladder slipped precipitating him a distance of 10 feet to the deck, he falling on his head and receiving concussion of the brain died shortly afterwards. Mr. Jones was well known on the Ouachita, where he was always at home. # # #
