JACKSON, MISS., April 25. – Eliza Pinkston, the famous Louisiana witness in the electoral controversy of 1876-’77, died in jail at Canton, where she was serving a term for larceny. Ouachita parish, Louisiana, and Madison county, Mississippi, meet and shake hands.
