Another Tragedy.
 An old negro man well and favorably known in West Monroe and old Trenton,
under the patronym of Harkless, was shot last Saturday night between West
Monroe and Trenton, and died from the effects of his wound Wednesday
morning.  Doc. Whitfield, a young white man, is charged with the killing,
but he has decamped for parts unknown.  This makes the third killing in this
parish during the holidays.
