 On last Tuesday, 21st inst. Mr. R.W. McClendon, Jr. shot and killed F.B.
Nixon near Forksville.  The trouble grew out of family differences and the
act of Mr. MeClendon is one that no honorable man will condemn.  He has not
been arrested, deeming it advisable to keep out of the way of the officials
for the present, but we are informed by his friends that he will surrender
and stand his trial at the next term of court which convenes in October.
