GRANT.
A Old Negro Burned To Death
        Colfax Chronicle, 3rd.: Isaac Jewell, an old colored man,
about 72 years of age, fell in the fire and was burned to death on the 25th
ultimo, on Mr. G.S. Johnston's place, near the mouth of bayou Darro.  His body
was burned to a crisp except the face.  He was alone in his cabin and is
supposed to have fallen in the fire in a fainting fit.
