Bubb Corporation, operator of American Service Stations. Born, Williamsport, Pennsylvania, December 26, 1877. Educated in Williamsport Public Schools, Chambersburg Academy. Later attended Princeton University, graduating in 1899. Then entered firm of George Bubb and Son, wholesale grocers of Williamsport. In 1903 became I connected as salesman with the White Steamer Corporation. While in employ of this company was transferred to Pacific coast. Later became branch manager for a leading automobile corporation in Portland, Oregon. Returned east just before the World War. Enlisted and trained for service at Fort Niagara in 1917. Commissioned first lieutenant of infantry. Later transferred to aviation corps. Commissioned to rank of captain in June 1918, and to rank of major in September 1918. Resigned from service in December 1918. Entered research department of Columbian Carbon corporation and was transferred to Monroe district in 1919. Resigned in 1922 and became contractor and builder here. Constructed one of first apartment houses in Monroe. In 1926 founded American Service Stations, owned by the H. A. Bubb Corporation. Married Nellie E. Webb, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T. T. Webb, of this city, April 19, 1922. There was a son born to the union, September 4, 1924. He was christened David Agnew Bubb. # # #
