EDNA EDITH WEBB ABBOTT

Mrs. W.C. (Edna Edith Webb) Abbott, Jr.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, August 15, at Edmonds 
Funeral Home Chapel in Jonesboro for Mrs. W. C. Abbott, Jr., who passed away 
Sunday, August 12, in San Augustine, TX.

 Mrs. Abbott was 97.

 Officiating will be Rev. Keith Abbott and Rev. Herb Dickerson. Visitation 
will be from 5 to 8 PM, Tuesday, August 14, at the funeral home. Interment 
will be at Gayla Traina Cemetery in Jonesboro.

 Mrs. Abbott was a long-time homemaker, wife, mother, and friend. 

Edna Edith Webb was born November 28, 1914 in Baton Rouge, and was raised in 
the Oak Grove community in Ascension Parish. She and her family moved to 
Jonesboro in 1944 where her late husband, W. C. Abbott, Jr., served as Jackson 
Parish county agent for many years.

 She is survived by daughter Blanche and husband Fred Pardue of San Augustine, 
TX; and three sons and their wives, Robert and Susan Abbott of Alexandria, 
George and Sue Abbott of West Monroe, and Walter and Gayla Abbott of Ruston.

 Also surviving are grandchildren Lee Brady, Bill Fowler, Laura Dear, Frank, 
David, and Paul Abbott, Kathy Graham, Keith Abbott, Katie Abbott, 14 great 
grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. Sister-in-law Mary Jo Messer of 
Greenwell Springs also survives.

 Pallbearers will be Kenneth Brown, Bill Fowler, Frank Abbott, David Abbott, 
Paul Abbott, and Andy Brady.
