ACREE FARRAR FUNERAL HOME Farmerville, LA. Funeral services for Mr. James D. Acree, 78, of Point will be 2:00pm Wednesday at Farrar Funeral Home with Bro. Louis Bartett officiating. Interment will be in Acree Cemetery in Point, LA. Arrangements are under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home. Mr. Acree, retired truck driver for Wilson Packing Co., died Dec. 15, 2008. He was an avid fisherman & hunter and enjoyed raising Rat Terrier squirrel dogs. He is preceded in death by his parents: Dan & Beulah Acree; 3 brothers: Loil Acree, Cecil Acree & Glen Acree and 2 sisters: Odessa Bearden and Margie Littleton. Survivors are his son: Kenny Ray Acree of Perry, IA; 2 daughters: Debbie Rogers & husband, Ronnie of West Monroe and Delores Mixon & husband, Joel of Eros; 7 grandchildren: Kandi, Christy, Misty, Cassey, Brandon, Lori and David; 7 great grandchildren; 1 brother: Fred Acree of Longview, TX; 2 sisters: Mary Ann Whitehead of West Monroe and Beatrice Thornton of Minden and a host of other relatives. Pallbearers are Scott Thornton, James Thornton, Rodney Thornton, Donnie Thornton, Randy Littleton and Junior Bearden. Honorary pallbearers are Brandon Ainsworth, Ronnie Rogers, Joel Mixon and Mike Nolan. Visitation will be 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Tuesday at Farrar Funeral Home.
