JIMMY DEXTER ADAMS


Funeral service for Mr. Jimmy Dexter Adams, 61, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 
10:00AM Friday, September 14, 2012, at the Swartz First Baptist Church with 
Rev. Jeff Smart officiating. Interment will follow in Mulhearn Memorial Park 
Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Rd. Monroe.

Mr. Adams passed away on September 11, 2012, at St. Francis Medical Center. He 
was a graduate of Northeast Louisiana University in Criminal Justice. Mr. 
Adams worked for the Caldwell Parish Sheriff's Office, retired from the West 
Monroe Police Department and was currently working for the Louisiana State 
Fire Marshal's office. He was a member of the Swartz First Baptist Church and 
was preceded in death by his parents, James Lionel and Wanda Voncille Adams.

Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Teena Yarbrough Adams; daughter, 
Rebecca Adams Brinson and husband Mike of St. Joseph, LA; sister, Donna Adams 
Fuller and husband Basil of West Monroe, LA; two grandchildren, Brock and 
Alyssa Brinson; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncle.

Pallbearers will be Wesley, Marcus, and Brandon Yarbrough, Ryan Hart, and 
Kevin and Will Howland.

Visitation will be from 5:00PM until 8:00PM Thursday at Swartz First Baptist 
Church.

Memorials may be made to the Swartz First Baptist Church Building Fund.
