Monday January 30, 2006 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home St. John Street Monroe, LA. Burial will be in the Hasley Cemetery in West Monroe. Mr. Adams died January 28, 2006 at the Glenwood Regional Medical Center. Mr. Adams was a welding instructor at the Louisiana Technical College in West Monroe for many years. He was an avid outdoorsman and fisherman. Mr. Adams was a veteran of the United States Army serving in WWII. Mr. Adams is preceded in death by his long-time companion Phyllis A. Gewin, brother, Glenwood Adams, and sister, Edith Riggle. Survivors include nephews, David Adams, Gary Adams, Rick Riggle, and Earl Riggle; niece, Brenda Parks; stepdaughter, Sallie E. Gewin. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Sunday January 29, 2006 at Mulhearn Funeral Home on St. John Street in Monroe, LA. The family would like to thank the staff at Rosemont Assisted Living and the nursing staff at Glenwood Regional Medical Center for the wonderful care of Mr. Adams. The family would also like to express sincere thanks to all of the many friends of Oswald from Terrel Island and Lake D'Arbonne. Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
