KATHLEEN PHILLIPS ADAMS

Funeral services for Kathleen Phillips Adams, 82, of West Monroe, LA will be 
held 3:00 PM, Sunday, July 20, 2014 at the Liberty Grove Church of God, West 
Monroe, LA with Bro. Ray Jones, Bro. Larry Roy, and Bro. Steve Nelson 
officiating. Interment will follow in the Liberty Grove Cemetery, West Monroe, 
LA under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Rayville.

Kathleen was born March 8, 1932 in Portageville, MO and passed away Friday, July 
18, 2014 in West Monroe, LA.

Mrs. Kathleen is preceded in death by her parents, Loyd and Addie Saalweachter 
Phillips; grandson, Ron Welch; 3-infant siblings; and brothers, Leonard 
Phillips, Chester Phillips, and Freddy Phillips.

Mrs. Kathleen was a member of the Liberty Grove Church of God and she enjoyed 
spending time with her family.

Survivors include her loving husband of 66 years, Orvas "O.J." Adams of West 
Monroe; children, Karvin Adams and (Sandy) of Calhoun, Arlene Adams Welch and 
(Alton) of Pioneer, and Patricia Adams Hillman and (Thermon) of Simpson, LA; 
grandchildren, Marc Adams and (Annette), Karla Jordan and (Troy), Keith Welch 
and (Robin), and Jamey Hillman and (Miriam); 11-great grandchildren; siblings, 
Billy Phillips, Peggy Decker, Terry Phillips, Camilla Russell, Ginger Hankins, 
and Virginia Russell; numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to say a very special thanks you to the caregivers and 
staff of West Monroe Guest House and Louisiana Hospice.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Liberty Grove Church of God 
Building Fund, Partners in Missions, and
St. Jude Children's Research Hospital
.

Visitation is 2:00 PM until the service at 3:00 PM, Sunday at the church.
