ORVAS "O.J" ADAMS

Funeral services for Orvas "O.J." Adams, 87, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 
10:00 AM, Friday, December 4, 2015 at the Liberty Grove Church of God, West 
Monroe, LA with Rev. Ray Jones and Rev. Larry Roy officiating. Interment will 
follow in the Liberty Grove Cemetery, West Monroe, LA under the direction of 
Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Rayville.

Mr. O.J. was born February 20, 1928 in Lowndes, MO and passed away Tuesday, 
December 1, 2015 in West Monroe, LA.

Mr. O.J. was a retired pastor with the Church of God-Anderson, IN in both 
Louisiana and Arkansas. He also was an Army Aircore Veteran.

Mr. O.J. is preceded in death by his wife, of 66 years, Kathleen Adams; 
grandson, Ron Welch; parents, Ed and Myrtle Adams; brothers, Ivan Adams, Junior 
Adams, Denver Adams; sisters, Eunice Walton, Stella Ward; and four siblings 
that passed at young ages.

Survivors include his children, Karvin Adams and wife, Sandy of Calhoun, Arlene 
Adams Welch and husband, Alton of Pioneer, Patricia Adams Hillman and husband, 
Thermon of Simpson, LA; grandchildren, Marc Adams and wife, Annette, Karla 
Jordan and husband, Troy, Keith Welch and wife, Robin, Jamey Hillman and wife, 
Miriam; 11-great grandchildren; brother, Marion Adams; and numerous nieces and 
nephews.

Pallbearers are Alton Welch, Thermon Hillman, Marc Adams, Troy Jordan, Jamey 
Hillman, Jakob Brown.

Honorary pallbearers will be Keith Welch, Skipper Riley, Donnie Futch.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Jude Children Hospital, 
Partners in Mission, Liberty Grove Church Building Fund, Simpson Church of God 
Walking Path in honor of Mr. Adams.

Visitation is 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Thursday at the Liberty Grove Church of God, 
West Monroe, LA.
