MR. JOHN J. AKIN

Kilpatrick Funeral Home

Farmerville, LA

Funeral Services for Mr. John J. Akin, 99, of Farmerville, LA, will be held on 
Sunday, August 17, 2008 at 2:00 PM Salem Baptist Church in Farmerville, LA with 
Rev. Willie Cottrell officiating. Interment will follow in Taylor Cemetery in 
Farmerville, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Farmerville, 
LA.

Mr. Akin was born on February 26, 1909 in Drew County, AR. and passed away on 
August 15, 2008 in Farmerville, LA. He was a Past Master of the Masonic Lodge 
in Farmerville and was a member of Salem Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by his wife Doris; and 2 sons.

He is survived by his 2 sons, Robert A. Akin of Ft. Worth, TX; Terry J. Akin of 
Mountain View, AR.; 1 daughter, Betty McConnell of Monticello, AR. nine 
grandchildren: David Denson; Randy Bordeaux; Denise Schrader; Robert Akin Jr.; 
Pam Young; Sharon Harris; Debbie London; Wanda Conner; and Jeff W. Akin, 
numerous great-grandchldren; and two nephews.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2008 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at 
Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Farmerville, LA.
