ARTURO ALANIZ

Funeral services for Mr. Arturo "Art" Alaniz, Sr., 77, of Rocky Branch, LA will 
be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, May 31, 2016 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral 
Home in West Monroe, LA with Rev. Eugene Brown officiating. Interment will be 
in Rocky Branch Cemetery.

Mr. Alaniz passed away on May 29, 2016 at Glenwood Regional Medical Center. Art 
was a retired farmer. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Art 
was preceded in death by his parents, Jose Alaniz and Macaria Gonzalez; and 
sister, Tina Tarver.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Mrs. Olivia Alaniz; children, Juanita 
Sanford and Dale McLeland, Tina Coats and Jackie Gunter, Art Alaniz, Jr. and 
Italia, Daniel Alaniz and Kim; grandchildren, Wayne Sanford, III, Sanchia 
Alaniz, Olivia Alaniz McDuffie, Quintin Alaniz and Anthony Alaniz; brothers, 
Joe and Gus Alaniz; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Amado Leija, Remigio Leija, Jr., Mario Leija, Jr., Javi 
Leija, David Leija and Tony Alaniz.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. until service time on Tuesday.
