HULEN EMMITT ALLEN


Funeral services for Hulen Emmitt Allen, 86, of Rayville, LA will be held at 
10:00 AM, Saturday, October 20, 2012 at Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Rayville, 
LA with Rev. Renita Hemphill officiating. Burial will follow in Start 
Cemetery, Start, LA under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, 
Rayville, LA.

Hulen was born November 13, 1925 in Sikes, LA and passed away Wednesday, 
October 17, 2012 in West Monroe, LA. He was the son of Charles Allen of Sikes, 
LA and Sarah "Sallie" Helen Smith of Lufkin, TX.

He was married to Charlotte Boykin Allen on February 1, 1952.

Mr. Allen served in the Air Force as an airplane mechanic during WWII. He was 
a successful cotton farmer in Richland parish for 50 years. He enjoyed 
hunting, trapping, and fishing.

Mr. Allen was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte of 52 years; parents, 
Charles and Sallie Allen; sisters, Bernice Parker, and Annie Ruth Tarver; 
grandson, Jeremy Keith Allen; and brother, Clifford Allen.

Survivors include sons, Kenneth Michael Allen, James Larry Allen and wife, 
Mari, and Thomas Earl Allen; daughter, Patti Allen Tumilson and husband, 
Thomas all of Rayville, LA; 11-grandchildren and 11-great grandchildren; 
sister, Margie Herrington and Jimmy McLemore of Monroe, LA; and numerous 
nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Brady Allen, Chase Allen, Daniel Allen, 
Richard Allen, Jason Allen, and Randy Ellis, Jr.

Visitation is 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Friday at Brown-Holley Funeral Home, 
Rayville.
