DOROTHY JEAN ALLEN

Funeral services for Dorothy Jean Allen, 84, of Marion, will be held at 10:00 
AM Saturday, January 12, 2013, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, 
Sterlington Road, Monroe, with Rev. Bubba Hoggatt officiating. Interment will 
be at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Allen passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2013, at Azalea Estates. She was 
a member of First Baptist Church of Marion where she served as the G.A. Leader 
for many years. Mrs. Allen was a nursing home administrator for over 31 years.

Mrs. Allen was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Charles Allen, 
who passed away on January 3, 2013; parents, Jim and Pervie Nale; sisters, 
Laura Murphy and Ruth Cook; and brothers, James Nale and Roy "Bo" Nale.

Survivors include her son, Richard Allen and wife Terri; daughter, Martha 
Boyte and husband Steve; grandchildren, Ginger Teekell, Staci Choate and 
husband Kenneth, and Kristi Ewasko and husband Matt; seven great 
grandchildren; sisters, Inez Peterson and Martha Christine Thomas; and 
numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Mulhearn Funeral Home, 
Sterlington Road, Monroe.
