West Monroe, LA

Funeral Services for Mrs. Norein Rayner Allen, 83, of West Monroe, LA will be 
held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, December 10, 2008 at the Mt. Vernon Baptist 
Church with Rev. George Bonner and Rev. Rick McPhearson officiating. Interment 
will follow in the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of 
Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA.

Mrs. Allen was born on November 8, 1925 in West Monroe, LA and passed away on 
December 6, 2008 at the St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe, LA. She was an 
active member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church, where she devoted lots of time 
helping in the Library. She loved working crossword puzzles, sewing and 
knitting. Mrs. Allen is preceded in death by her daughters, Dianne Parker and 
Janet Allen; and numerous brothers and sisters.

Survivors include her husband, James W. Allen; daughters, Katherine Tumlison 
and husband Buck, Shirley Allen and Renee Allen; son-in-law, Ralph Parker; 
three granddaughters, Pamela Martin, Amanda Pennington and Nikki Smith; 
grandson, Joey Tumlison; three great grandchildren, Ansley Pennington, Aiden 
Pennington and Brynn Pennington; her brothers, Ralph Rayner and Darryl Rayner 
and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Gene Rogers, Keith McKaskle, Scott McKaskle, Tommy Gist, 
Rich Jacobs and Clint Cummings. Honorary Pallbearer will be Jerry Parker.

Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Tuesday at Mulhearn Funeral 
Home West Monroe, LA.

Memorials may be made to the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery Fund or to the 
American Cancer Society.
