Rose-Neath Funeral Home

Arcadia, LA

Funeral Services for Horace B. Allen, 73, of Arcadia, will be held on 
Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Rose-Neath Funeral Home 
in Arcadia. Rev. Jeff Hoffman will officiate. The internment will follow in the 
Friendship Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, April 14, 2009, 
at Rose-Neath funeral Home.

Horace was born June 10, 1935 in Friendship, LA to A.H. "Hotshot" and Madge 
Shively Allen, and passed away on April 12, 2009 at Glenwood Regional Medical 
Center in West Monroe, LA.

He was owner and operator of Allen Pest Control. Horace was a veteran of the 
United States Army.

His parents A.H. "Hotshot" and Madge Shively Allen precede him in death.

Survivors include his son, Gary Allen and wife Christa of Humble, TX; daughter, 
Teresa Hay and husband Bill of Bossier City, LA; and daughter, Tammy Soignier 
and husband Greg of West Monroe, LA; and grandchildren, Addison Allen, Macon 
Allen, and Caleb Soignier. He is also survived by Peggy Allen; sister, Addie 
Dugan and husband Jerry of Arlington, TX; brother, David Allen and wife Kim of 
Del City, OK; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friend and loving 
caregiver, Glanda Mays.

The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at Stoney Brook 
Alzheimer's Assisted Living, First Baptist Church for their thoughts and 
prayers, and to the ICU staff at Glenwood Regional Medical Center.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 225 N Michigan Ave, 17th 
Floor, Chicago IL 60601-7633.
