MAGDALEN ELOISE AMMAN

Funeral services for Magdalen Eloise Amman, 89, of Monroe, will be held at 
2:00 PM Thursday, August 5, 2010, at Jesus the Good Shepherd Catholic Church 
with Msgr. Edmund Moore officiating. Interment will follow at St. Matthew 
Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, 
Monroe.
Mrs. Amman, born December 18, 1920 to Frederic Charles and Louise Rivoire 
Amman, passed away Tuesday, August 03, 2010. She graduated from Northeast 
Junior College and then graduated Summa Cum Laude from LSU in Commerce, was on 
the Dean's List, a member of Kappa Delta Sorority, Commerce Queen, and a 
beauty. She worked for Munholland Law Firm until her retirement. Mrs. Amman 
was a member of the Junior Charity League, an active member of St. Matthew and 
Jesus the Good Shepherd Churches. She was an avid reader, artist, and enjoyed 
traveling with family and friends.
Magdalen was a devoted daughter, sister, and aunt. She is survived by her 
brother, Charles Amman; nieces and nephews, Kathy (Thierry) Vellard, Annice 
(David) Miller, Evelyn (Bob) Hahn, Frederic (Martha) Amman, Dottie (Bill) 
Bailey, Corbin Amman, Louise (Glen) Bryson, Julie (Buddy) Schucks.
Visitation will be Thursday from 1:00 PM until service time at Jesus the Good 
Shepherd Catholic Church.
The family would like to thank the caring staff at Stoneybrook Alzheimer's 
Assisted Living.
Memorials may be made to St. Matthew Catholic Church or to Jesus the Good 
Shepherd Catholic Church.
