AVIS ANDREWS

Funeral service for Avis Audel Andrews, 96 of Baskin will be at11:00AM Friday, 
July 11, 2014 in the Mulhearn chapel with Rev. Cecil Gregory officiating and 
Rebecca Hayes, Sharon Jo Martin, and Gloria Renee Ballard giving the Eulogy. 
Burial will follow in the Coax Cemetery near Baskin, LA under the direction of 
Mulhearn Funeral Home-Winnsboro.

Mrs. Andrews was born on October 29, 1917 in Raleigh, Miss and passed from 
this life on July 7, 2014 in Baskin, LA. She and her husband were motel owners 
for 25 years in Illinois. She was the oldest member of New Light Baptist 
Church near Mangham, LA.

She is preceded in death by her husband-Martin Luther Andrews; parents- Olyer 
Leonard Garvan and Dona Lenora Hogh Garvan; brothers-Auther Ray Garvan, 
Oscar "Joe" Garvan, and Ather Daniel Garvan; sister-Gladys Garvan Cox; and son-
in-law-Edward Ferrell.

She is survived by son - James Martin Andrews and wife Marie of Russellville, 
Ark.; daughter-Lenora Andrews Ferrell of Baskin; 9 grandchildren; 17 great 
grandchildren,; and 4 great great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons-Steven Scott, Patrick James, Timothy Wayne 
Ferrell, Robert Duane, David H., and William James Andrews.

Visitation will be Friday, July 11, 2014at 10:00AM till service time in the 
Mulhearn chapel.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital or 
Bible Education and Missionary Service, P.O. Box 10200, Gulfport, Miss 39505.
