VINCENT J. ANZALONE
Mulhearn Funeral Home

Sterlington Road, Monroe, LA.

Funeral services for Vincent J. Anzalone, also known as "The Godfather", 89, 
of Monroe, will be held 10:00 AM Monday, July 5, 2010, at St. Matthew Catholic 
Church in Monroe with Monsignor Edmund Moore officiating. Interment will 
follow at St. Matthew Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, 
Sterlington Road, Monroe.

Mr. Anzalone, owner of Star Hardware and Furniture Company, passed away 
Wednesday, June 30, 2010, after a brief illness. He was a member of St. 
Matthew Catholic Church. He was a member of several organizations including 
the Knights of Columbus, City of Monroe Planning Commission, American Legion, 
Progressive Men's Club, and former President of Men's Club at Our Lady of 
Fatima. Mr. Anzalone served in the U. S. Army during WWII.

Mr. Anzalone was preceded in death by his great grandson, Gaige Austin Roberie.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Flo Anzalone; daughters, Alyce Jo Roberie and 
husband Gervis, Sherry Portuese and husband Bill, and Tina Anzalone; sons, 
Bobby, Vinny, Rick, Randy, Larry and Mark Anzalone; thirteen grandchildren, 
Nikki Cowan, Jennifer Sumlin, Trey Roberie, Alycia Anzalone, B. J. Anzalone, 
Aaron Anzalone, Lisa Greenway, Josh Anzalone, Destiny Hart, Mia Portuese, 
Bella Portuese, Larry Campbell, and Mica Williams; and fourteen great 
grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Kerry Capers, Dudley Cowan, Kevin Sumlin, Josh Anzalone, 
Larry Anzalone, and Trey Roberie.

Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Sunday July 4, 2010 with a Vigil 
Wake Service at 6:30 PM at Mulhearn Funeral Home.
