Brian Rogers officiating. Interment will be in the Lynn Cemetery, Archibald, LA under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Rayville, LA. Steve was born November 23, 1963 in Rayville, LA and passed away at his home in Archibald on Tuesday, August 27, 2024. He was preceded by his parents, Leonard B. and Katherine “Katie” Archibald; and nephew, Samuel ‘Sam” Archibald. Steve was a member of Cedar Baptist Church and a past member of Sons of Confederate Veterans. He was licensed by the Louisiana Board of Professional Geoscientists. Steve retired from the Department of Environmental Quality as a geologist after 25 years of service. Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Dawn Brand Archibald of Archibald, LA; siblings, Suanne McDonald and husband, Charles of Archibald, LA, Robert “Bob” Archibald and wife, Debbie of Archibald, LA, James Marshall “Jim” Archibald of Archibald, LA, and Melissa Dear and husband, Frank of Archibald, La; brother-in- law, Glynn Browder and wife, Alecia; and sister-in-law, Tammie Archibald; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to express special thanks to Karl and Lori Ann Kaufman of Glory Therapy and their staff. Pallbearers will be Pat McDonald, Matt McDonald, Will Dear, Josh Gwin, Chris Archibald, and Thomas Gray. Honorary pallbearers are Jay Glorioso, John Posey, Terry Gwin, David Lynn, Paul Spence, and Adam McDonald.
