Aleck Nyegaard and Bro. David Martin officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty Hill/Taylor Cemetery under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home. Mrs. Armstrong was born on March 31, 1922 in Farmerville to the late Cliff and Dolly Glass and went to her heavenly home November 9, 2014. She graduated from Farmerville High School in 1939, met "the love of her life" 2nd Lt. George V. Armstrong in 1943 and married him in 1945. After many transfers all over the country and 26 years of service, they retired in North Little Rock, AR in 1962. She served as President of the Officers' Wives Club in Orlando, FL and was active in craft clubs. In 1979 after moving to Farmerville, she worked as a Pink Lady at Union General Hospital for several years and served as president of the Auxillary. She was also active in the Garden Club. She was a member of Salem Baptist Church, loved working in her yard, and enjoyed listening to and watching the birds. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cliff and Dolly Glass; her brother, Waymon Glass and her beloved husband of 69 years, George V. Armstrong. She is survived by her son, Ronald Armstrong, his wife Paula; 3 grandchildren: Wellena Seamon of Cabot, AR, Andrue Armstrong of Jacksonville, AR, and Kimberly Armstrong of Little Rock, AR; 3 great granddaughters: Cierra Wise, Amelia Seamon, and Tori Seamon; 2 sisters: Novice Taylor & her husband, John Drue Taylor and Carolyn Taylor and her husband, James Taylor, a niece, Marsha Holland and her husband, Sam Holland and unofficially adopted son, Ronnie Herring and his wife, Melissa of Atlanta, GA. Visitation is 5:00-7:00PM Thursday at Farrar Funeral Home. Online messages for the family may be left at farrarfuneralhomeonline.com.
