RAY ASHBY


Funeral services for Mr. Ray Ashby, age 63, of Downsville, LA., will be held 
at 10:00 A.M. Friday, November 30, 2012 at Bethel Church of Downsville, LA. 
Officiating will be Pastor Tom Lowe, assisted by Rev. Laymond Tucker. 
Interment will follow in Downsville Cemetery under direction of Kilpatrick 
Funeral Home of Farmerville, LA.

Ray was born on August 25, 1949 in Ruston, LA, and passed away on November 24, 
2012 in West Monroe, LA. He was a member of Christ Church in West Monroe. He 
served in the U.S. Navy and was a farmer. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Lucile Ashby.

Survivors include his wife Lou Alice Ashby of Downsville, LA; three children, 
Mark Ashby of Austin, TX; Will Ashby of Downsville, LA; Carol Elizabeth Britt 
and husband Thomas of Ruston, LA; grandchildren, Lane Ashby, and Cameron 
Britt; sister, Liz Hurt of Winnsboro, TX; and Carol King of Downsville, LA; 
also several nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.

Pallbearers will be Rick Hill, Wayne Hammons, Johnny McFarland, Robert 
Calhoun, David Wade, Roy Echols, Malcolm Echols, and Donald Lloyd.

Visitation will be held Thursday, November 29, 2012 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 
P.M. at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Farmerville.
