Larry Foster and Rev. Scott Byrd officiating. Burial will be in Legion Memorial Cemetery in Newellton, Louisiana, under the direction of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home.Visitation will be Friday, January 3, 2014 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M., at Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home in Tallulah.Mrs. Anglin passed away at her home on January 1, 2014. Elizabeth was born on Easter Sunday, April 16, 1927, during the Flood of 1927 in Natchez, Mississippi to the union of James Pleasant Woodruff and Ruby Estelle Thompson Woodruff of Newellton. She is preceded in death by her parents, and her husbands, Eudell Ashley in 1984 and A. C. Anglin in 1996, and her brothers, Ancil Woodruff and Jimmy Woodruff.Elizabeth is survived by her loving children, Glenda Ashley Alford and husband Wendell of Newellton, Eudell Ashley and wife Donna of Sterlington, Bryan Ashley of Tallulah and Anne Ashley Groce and husband David of Newellton. Libby is survived by nine grandchildren, Ashley Capdepon Hillman of Lafayette, Amanda Ashley Corrigan of Waxahachie, Texas, Joseph Ashley of Baton Rouge, Shelby Alford Smith of Little Rock, Arkansas, Ashlin Alford Doyle of Monroe, Jacob Ashley of Monroe, Whitney Alford of New Orleans, Carlyle Ashley of Monroe and Connor Ashley of Tallulah, and ten great-grandchildren, Hayley and Everett Hillman, Titus, Gideon, Silas, and Judah Ashley, Lane Smith, Kaydell Corrigan, Hudson Ashley, and Brooks Doyle. She is also survived by her brother, J.P. Woodruff, Jr., and wife Kay of Minneapolis, MN., sister, Lavonne Watts of Houston, Texas, and sisters-in-law Cecelia Woodruff of Newellton and Delores Woodruff of New Iberia, and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.Mrs. Anglin was a member of First Baptist Church of Newellton. She was an avid gardener and known by many to be one of the best cooks in Louisiana.
