TRUXNO, LA - Services for Mr. Auger, age 77, of Truxno, will be held 
Wednesday, November 26, 1997 at 1 p.m. at the Salem Baptist church of 
Farmerville, LA with Bro. Kurt Auger of New Orleans, Bro. Willie Cottrell o f 
El Dorado, and Bro. Ora Owens of West Monroe officiating. Interment will 
immediately follow at the Laran Cemetery, north of Farmerville. Mr. Auger went 
to be with the Lord November 24, 1997 after a brief illness.

Mr. Auger was a lifelong resident of Union Parish, a member of the Salem 
Baptist Church, a retired logger, and served as Police Juror for 8 years. He 
was also recently recognized as one of the founders of the Union Parish Riding 
Club Arena.

He is survived by his children: Ernest "Sonny" Auger, Jr., and wife, Pat, of 
Marion, Mrs. Anna A. Milstead and husband Kenneth, of Truxno, Mr. Steve P. 
Auger, Sr., of Truxno, and Mr. James B. Nolan of Houston, TX; two brothers: 
Mr. Alton Auger of Marion and Dr. Huey Van Auger of Raleigh, NC; four sisters: 
Mrs. Helen Harper of Ruston, Mrs. Robbie Watson of Houston, RX., Mrs. Ann 
Ratomsky of Hilton Head, SC, and Mrs. La Faye Keith of Shreveport, Mr. Auger 
has 16 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and 
nephews.

Mr. Auger was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Doris Edwards Auger, 
daughter, Barbara A. Nolan; granddaughter, Penny Renee Nolan; father, Mr. T. 
W. Auger, and mother, Mrs. Allie B. Auger.

Pallbearers: Steve Auger, Sr., Steve Auger, Jr., Mike Nolan, Robert Gulley, 
Don Auger, Mike Brantley, Kenneth Tucker, and Mitch Nolan. Honorary 
Pallbearers: Dr. J. E. Booth, Mr. James P. Hill, Mr. Royce Bird, Mr. Roland 
Hicks, Mr. Loyd Alford, Mr. Herbert Harvey, Mr. Houston Rhodes, Mr. Charles 
Gulley, Mr. Benoitt Holloway,Sr., Mr. Peanut Wells, Don Wall, and Arnold Lee. 
Visitation will be Tuesday at Farrar Funeral Home in Farmerville from 8 - 9 
p.m.
