Aleck Nyegaard officiating. Interment will follow at Liberty Hill Taylor Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Farmerville, LA. Mr. Aulds was born April 28, 1932 and passed away after a brief illness on Wednesday, February 3, 2016. He was born and raised on the family farm in the Salem community where he loved the outdoors. Mr. Aulds was a lifelong member of Salem Baptist Church and served as a deacon most of his adult life. Mr. Aulds was retired from the IMC chemical plant and also operated a poultry and cattle farm. He was co-founder of the former Ridgedale Academy of West Monroe. He was predeceased by his parents, Bearl and Mae Edwards Aulds; sister, Sue Aulds Brantley; and recently, his wife of 64 years, Peggy Henderson Aulds. Survivors include his children: Libby Ledig and husband Walter of Minden, LA., Lynn Martinez and husband Roy also of Minden, LA., Jamie Nawrocki and husband Steve of Clarkston, MI., and Michael Aulds and wife Donna of Sterlington, LA; grandchildren: David Albritton, Leigh Albritton, Casey Watkins, Katherine Buckbee, Jared Aulds, and Dee Anne Aulds; 10 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers are David Albritton, Jared Aulds, Scott Brantley, Chad Galligan, Greg Edwards, and Jamie Watkins. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 5 from 5:00PM - 7:00PM at Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Farmerville. Memorials may be made to Salem Baptist Church, or charity of donor's choice. Special thanks to Emilee and staff at Arbor Rose for their love and care the last few weeks of his life.
