EVA COSTIN AUSTIN

Funeral services for Mrs. Eva Costin Austin, 97, of Bastrop, formerly of Eros, 
will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, February 7, 2009, at Community of Christ in 
Eros, LA. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Any donations in lieu of 
flowers, may be sent to the church, in her name, for its cemetery fund.

Mrs. Austin was born August 22, 1911, near Eros, LA, where she grew up. She 
passed away Wednesday, February 04, 2009, after living the past year at 
LeGrande Rehab Center in Bastrop.

She was preceded in death by her husband, W. Cleve Austin, four brothers and 
three sisters.

She is survived by many nieces and nephews and their extended families, and by 
her special nephew Don Costin and his wife Naomi Ruth of Bastrop, whom she 
called family and resided with over the past twenty years. She also leaves 
many dear and cherished friends.

In the past, Mrs. Austin enjoyed quilting, reading the daily newspaper, 
reading poetry and writing her own as well. She was well known for her sharp 
memory and recollection of family history and church events. "Aunt Eva" will 
be remembered for her abundant kindness, patience and generosity, and her 
words, "keep the Lord first in our lives."
