"Kitten" as she was affectionately known by family and friends, was born July 14, 1926, in El Dorado, Arkansas. As her grandchildren arrived, Kitten evolved to "Mama Kitten." Kitten graduated Cotton Valley High and then attended Norton Business College in Shreveport, Louisiana She began her secretarial and then accounting career with CVOC in Cotton Valley, Louisiana. She married A.J. Aycock in 1947. Their working lives were spent all over the southern United States and took them as far as Cali, Columbia, South America. Kitten returned to Louisiana in 1968 and to West Monroe in 1972. She worked many years for Hammond Supply Company and retired from the Tool House in Monroe. Kitten was a member of New Directional Sunday School at First West. Kitten was a strong and independent individual but always the lady. Her talents and interest were varied. Her artistic side was shown through her sketches and paintings. Her seamstress and tailoring skills were the envy of the finest couture shops. An avid reader, she enjoyed romance novels but loved her murder mysteries. She loved music and was a wonderful dancer, gardener and cook. Nothing put a smile on her face more than jumbo fried shrimp and a sweet dessert. Kitten was preceded in death by her parents Harold W. and Lola Hutchinson, sister-in-law Dolly Hutchinson and son-in-law Dan Frye. Kitten is survived by her brother, Harold B. "Hutch" Hutchinson; daughters, Debbie Aycock Williams (Jimmy), Tina Aycock Frye; son, Geary Aycock (Myra); grandsons, Michael Williams, Bryan Aycock, Brandon Frye; granddaughters, Mary Allen, Elizabeth McClellan and Amanda Aycock Lee. Mama Kitten has 12 great- grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Private interment will be at Hasley Cemetery, West Monroe, Saturday, March 28, 2015 with Rev. Greg Clark officiating. Kitten's family expresses their undying gratitude to her care givers during these past years and especially to Jennifer, Brenda and Joyce. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital .
