EARLINE BUSBY BAILEY

Funeral services for Earline Busby Bailey, 87, of Monroe, will be held at 2:30 
PM Saturday, January 4, 2014, at College Place Baptist Church, Monroe, with Rev. 
Bryant Barnes officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park 
Cemetery, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, 
Monroe.Mrs. Bailey passed away Thursday, January 02, 2014, at St. Francis 
Medical Center. She was a lifetime member of College Place Baptist Church and 
worked for the church for over 50 years until she retired in 2008.Mrs. Bailey 
was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, James William Bailey; and 
brother, Vester Busby.Survivors include her son, Steve Bailey and wife Sandra; 
grandchildren, Jamie Lee Bailey and Kirsten Elise Bailey; three sisters, Doyle 
Dean, Willie Mae Morse, and Ethel Weathersby and husband Mack; brother, Jarrel 
Busby and wife JoAnn; nephew, James O. Bailey and wife Barbara; niece, Lisa Cole 
and husband David and their children, Krista, Kara, and Kayla; and numerous 
other nieces and nephews.Visitation will be Saturday from 1:30 PM until service 
time at the church.The family wishes to extend their thanks to her caregivers, 
Helen Smith and Gwen Gasaway.Memorials may be made to College Place Baptist 
Church.
