Wednesday September 12, 2012 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe with Bro. Will Anderson officiating. Interment was in Luna Methodist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Bamburg was born on December 23, 1923 in West Monroe and passed away on September 9, 2012 in West Monroe. Mrs. Bamburg was the only child born to the union of Joseph Rankin and Delilah Shell McKeel. Mrs. Bamburg was a graduate of the University of Louisiana at Monroe. She was a retired elementary school teacher from Fort Necessity and Watson Elementary. After she retired from teaching, Mrs. Bamburg worked for the Louisiana Department of Welfare until her second retirement. She was preceded in death by her husband Everett Bamburg and her son Fred Bamburg. Survivors include her children, Lila Bamburg, Davis Bamburg, and Michelle Duplantis and husband Eric; daughter-in-law, Sandra Bamburg; grandchildren, Heather Skidmore and husband Brian, Ian, Joshua, Jesse, and Savannah Bamburg.
