BAMBURG Funeral Services for Mr. Charles W. Bamburg, 63, of West Monroe, LA will be held 2:00 P.M., Thursday, June 18, 2015 at McClendon Baptist Church, West Monroe with Rev. Kevin Stewart, Rev. James Gardner and Rev. Grant Bamburg officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Calhoun, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe. Charles was born February 16, 1952 and passed away June 16, 2015. He was a member of McClendon Baptist Church. His greatest joy was watching his kids play ball. Charles loved being outdoors, telling corny jokes and his Monday and Thursday Coffee Group. Above all else, his family was the most important thing to him. He was preceded in death by his father, Ivy Sherwood Bamburg; mother, Dorothy Bamburg Keene; sister, Beverly Bamburg; and father-in-law, Carter Gilmore. Survivors include his wife, Naomi Bamburg; daughter, Jessica Sharp and husband Anthony; sons, Blake Bamburg and wife Heather, Kyle Bamburg and wife Caitlyn, Grant Bamburg and wife Lyndsey, and Chase Bamburg and future daughter-in-law, Taylor Fuller; grandchildren, Parker Bamburg, Carter Sharp, Clarkson Sharp, Dylan Bamburg, Brady Bamburg and one on the way; sister, Sandra Thompson and husband Harold; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Diane and Gary Littleton; mother-in-law, Roberta Gilmore; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Blake Bamburg, Kyle Bamburg, Grant Bamburg, Chase Bamburg, Anthony Sharp and Ron Barfield. Honorary Pallbearers will be Joe Kelly, Jimmy Bonnette, Mike Tryon, Julian Terrell, James Johnson, Monte Moncrief, Harold Thompson, and Gary Littleton. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe. Memorials may be made to the Youth Building Fund at McClendon Baptist Church.
