Bamburg, 86, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 10:00AM Tuesday, October 27, 2015 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe with Rev. Warren Eckhardt officiating. Interment will follow in Hasley Cemetery, West Monroe. Milton was born on April 29, 1929 and passed away at his residence on Friday, October 23, 2015. Milton was the owner of Bamburg Steel Buildings and constructed many buildings throughout the Ark-La-Miss area. He was also the owner of the two Skatetowns. Milton was a great outdoorsman, who loved to fish and hunt with his buddies, especially Brooks Dawkins. He is preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Gettie Sue Bamburg; parents, Buford and Willie Bamburg; three sisters, Ruby Emory and Mildred Kane of West Monroe, Lucile Menville of New Iberia; and brother, Ellis Bamburg of Valdosta, Georgia. Survivors include his son, David M. Bamburg and wife Marion; four grandchildren, Anna Bamburg, Mary Lou Boatright, Kerri Tramell and Brandy Bangas; great-grandchildren, Jada and Jasmine Boatright, and Austin Perkins; sister-in-law, Mickey Bamburg of Valdosta, GA; brother, Richard Bamburg and wife Betty; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 9:00AM until service time on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital . The family would like to give a special thank you to Milton's caregiver, Gloria, along with Caring Hearts Hospice, who took excellent care of him during his illness. Also, a special thank you to Kathy Porter, who helped in many ways during his illness.
